Why EFF exists

A foundation shaped by the realities students carry.

Esther Funds Foundation grew from founder and executive director Shayna Vincent’s own experience navigating interruptions and barriers in higher education. That lived experience became a clear national purpose: help college students remain enrolled when finances, food, housing, isolation, or an unexpected crisis puts their future at risk.

Today, EFF combines direct financial assistance, REACH basic-needs support, faith and wellness programming, a national collegiate chapter network, and student advocacy. Campus Ambassadors extend that care to schools where a full chapter may not yet exist.

Your role on campus

Advocacy with structure. Service with boundaries.

You do not need a title, a budget, or a perfect following. You need a heart for students, sound judgment, and the willingness to connect people to help.

01

Make EFF visible

Share verified resources, tell student-centered stories, and introduce classmates to support before a setback becomes a stop-out.

02

Connect, never promise

Be a trusted bridge to EFF programs and campus resources while protecting privacy and keeping every referral within your role.

03

Build campus community

Host an approved workshop, organize a service moment, support REACH awareness, and invite students into a national community of care.

The EFF Ambassador Briefing

A chapter is not required

If EFF is not on your campus yet, you can still represent.

Ambassadors help close the distance between a national resource and the student who needs it. Start individually today. If your campus is ready for a full chapter later, we will show you the next step.
